WHAT TO EXPECT FROM AURELIUM

Strategy-driven support that thoughtfully complements medical care.
Cancer care comes with complexity, uncertainty, and unanswered questions. This FAQ is here to clarify how AURELIUM works, who it’s for, and how we support people across the full continuum of care.

WHAT IS AUREIUM?
AURELIUM is a cancer care strategy and survivorship platform designed to support the parts of the cancer experience that traditional medical systems don’t fully hold—preparation, tolerance, continuity, recovery, and long-term becoming.
We don’t replace medical care. We work alongside it—helping people think more clearly, prepare more deliberately, and rebuild more intelligently across the full continuum of cancer care.
IS AUREIUM MEDICAL CARE?
No. AURELIUM does not diagnose, prescribe, replace oncology care, or deliver medical treatment.
What we do provide is strategy: education, planning, decision support, navigation, expectation-setting, and recovery frameworks that help people move through care with more agency and fewer surprises.
Think of AURELIUM as the connective tissue between appointments.
WHAT ABOUT SUPPLEMENTS, PROTOCOLS, OR COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES?
AURELIUM does not replace medical treatment or promote approaches that conflict with evidence-based oncology care.
When supplements, protocols, or complementary therapies are considered, they are evaluated in support of—not instead of—medical treatment, with careful attention to safety, interactions, evidence quality, and individual goals. Recommendations are made thoughtfully and in coordination with existing care plans, not in isolation.
Complementary therapies, such as massage, acupuncture, movement, nutrition, or targeted supplementation, may be used to improve tolerance, recovery, and quality of life when appropriate. These approaches are framed as adjunctive tools designed to support the body and mind through treatment, not as cures or substitutes.
IS AUREIUM MEDICAL CARE?
Yes.
Aurelium’s approach is grounded in clinical training, oncology standards, survivorship research, and real-world practice. We prioritize evidence-informed strategies, acknowledge uncertainty where it exists, and avoid over-claiming.
WHEN SHOULD SOMEONE START WORKING WITH AURELIUM?
Earlier than you think.
While many people find AURELIUM after treatment—when support often drops off—the work is especially impactful before treatment begins, when preparation, expectation-setting, and system navigation can meaningfully shape the entire experience downstream.
That said, it’s never “too late” to start rebuilding well. AURELIUM works across the full continuum of cancer care:
-
Before treatment: preparation, expectation-setting, prehabilitation, and system orientation
-
During treatment: tolerance strategies, continuity support, aesthetics maintenance, and decision navigation
-
After treatment: recovery, survivorship planning, and identity and healthspan rebuilding
Cancer care is not a single moment—it’s a continuum. AURELIUM is built for that reality.
WHAT KINDS OF SUPPORT DOES AURELIUM OFFER?
AURELIUM provides education, structured guidance, and strategy-driven support across the full continuum of cancer care. Support is tailored to individual needs and may include:
-
Pre-treatment preparation and expectation setting, including orientation to care pathways, decision frameworks, and prehabilitation strategies
-
Support during treatment to improve tolerance, continuity, and communication across appointments and providers
-
Post-treatment rebuilding and survivorship strategy, focused on recovery, reintegration, and identity shifts following active care
-
Nurse navigation and coordination support, including preparation for medical visits, post-visit synthesis, and continuity across transitions
-
Coaching and counseling, oriented toward clarity, reframing, and practical action rather than open-ended processing
-
Long-term resilience and healthspan planning, addressing physical, cognitive, and emotional sustainability beyond treatment
-
Education, training, and consulting for clinicians and organizations, focused on survivorship, continuity of care, and patient-centered systems design
-
Public speaking and professional education, including lectures, workshops, and facilitated discussions for healthcare teams, institutions, and community audiences
Specific offerings may evolve as the platform grows, but the throughline remains consistent: helping individuals and systems engage cancer care with greater clarity, continuity, and intention.
IS AURELIUM RIGHT FOR ME IF I ALREADY HAVE A GREAT MEDICAL TEAM?
Yes—and especially then.
Strong medical care treats disease. AURELIUM helps you manage the experience of living through it and beyond it. The two are complementary, not competitive.
DO YOU WORK ALONGSIDE MY ONCOLOGY TEAM?
Yes. Aurelium is designed to complement—not override—medical care.
We respect the expertise of oncology teams and support individuals in understanding recommendations, preparing for treatment, and navigating the space between appointments. This often includes helping clients clarify priorities, anticipate decisions, and translate complex information into something usable in daily life.
When appropriate and with the client’s consent, nurse navigation services may include communication with members of the care team or remote presence for medical appointments to help clients listen more effectively, ask informed questions, and leave visits with greater clarity and confidence.
Aurelium does not direct medical treatment or interfere with clinical decision-making. Instead, we work to support alignment, helping clients stay organized, informed, and engaged with their care plans.
Clinicians treat the cancer.
Aurelium supports the person living with it.
HOW IS AURELIUM DIFFERENT FROM COACHING OR COUNSELING?
AURELIUM incorporates elements of coaching and counseling, but it is not open-ended therapy or purely motivational work.
Our approach is grounded in clinical experience, oncology realities, and systems-level thinking. Sessions are structured, intentional, and oriented toward understanding what’s happening, reframing where useful, and then moving into practical next steps.
We focus on:
-
Practical preparation and treatment-tolerance strategies
-
Navigating fragmented medical and support systems
-
Rebuilding physical, aesthetic, cognitive, and identity resilience
-
Long-term survivorship and healthspan design
Emotions are acknowledged and explored, but sessions are oriented toward understanding, clarity, choice, integration, and forward movement rather than unstructured emotional release without seeking practical solutions.
HOW DOES NURSE NAVIGATION DIFFER FROM TRADITIONAL CARE COORDINATION?
Traditional care coordination is often task-based and system-driven referrals, authorizations, scheduling, and discharge planning.
Nurse Navigation at Aurelium is person-centered and strategy-driven. It integrates clinical knowledge with real-world lived experience to help individuals:
-
Anticipate what’s coming, not just react to it
-
Understand trade-offs and downstream effects of decisions
-
Navigate fragmented systems with clarity and agency
-
Maintain continuity across transitions where support often drops off
It’s less about moving paperwork—and more about moving through care intelligently.
WHO IS AURELIUM FOR?
AURELIUM is for people who want more than survival statistics and discharge instructions.
We work with:
-
Individuals preparing to start cancer treatment who want clarity, orientation, and a deliberate plan—not just a schedule
-
People actively in treatment who want better tolerance, continuity, and informed decision-making
-
Survivors navigating the “now what?” phase after treatment ends, when medical oversight recedes but rebuilding begins
-
Those living with long-term or chronic cancer who need sustainable strategies rather than crisis-by-crisis management
-
Family members and close supporters who are helping someone through cancer and want to be useful, informed, and steady—without overstepping or burning out
-
Medical professionals seeking a survivorship- and strategy-oriented framework to better support patients beyond protocols and acute care
If you’ve ever felt that the system was excellent at treating disease, but vague about everything else, you’re in the right place.
WHO IS AURELIUM NOT FOR?
AURELIUM is not for those looking for:
-
A replacement for their oncology team.
-
We do not override medical care, reinterpret diagnoses, or substitute for clinical decision-making. Aurelium exists to complement oncology, not compete with it.
-
Miracle cures, unproven claims, or “one weird trick” solutions.
-
Passive reassurance without practical responsibility.
-
AURELIUM is not about soothing language or empty validation. The work requires engagement, reflection, and follow-through.
-
Crisis-only support without long-term thinking. While we acknowledge acute moments, Aurelium is designed for continuity, rebuilding, and sustainability, not perpetual firefighting.
-
Ideology-driven approaches that reject nuance or medical reality. We work in the space between rigid protocols and ungrounded alternatives, using evidence, judgment, and context.
AURELIUM works best with people who are ready to participate actively in their own rebuilding—and who understand that resilience is something designed, not outsourced.
IS AURELIUM ONLY FOR WOMEN OR BREAST CANCER?
No.
While some content may reflect common survivorship challenges seen in breast cancer, AURELIUM is designed to be applicable across cancer types and demographic profiles. The frameworks focus on process, not pathology.
WHAT DOES "INTELLIGENT RECONSTRUCTION" MEAN?
Cancer changes people. Bodies change. Capacity changes. Priorities change.
AURELIUM rejects the idea that healing means “going back to normal.” Instead, we focus on intentional rebuilding:integrating what has changed and designing what comes next with clarity and purpose.
Not erasure. Reconstruction.
IS AURELIUM COVERED BY INSURANCE?
Currently, AURELIUM services are not insurance-based.
This allows us to work outside rigid billing structures and focus on what actually helps people.
Engagement models and pricing are transparent, clearly communicated, and designed to respect both the seriousness of the work and the reality of people’s lives. There is no pressure to over-engage or “optimize” endlessly.
Thoughtful support, delivered intentionally.
AURELIUM currently accepts major credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle.

WHO FOUNDED AURELIUM?
AURELIUM was founded by a registered nurse with deep clinical experience and firsthand understanding of what it means to move through cancer care.
It was built to address the real gaps that exist beyond diagnosis and treatment, where many people are left to navigate on their own.
